haskell-derive-utils software package provides Deriving instances for data types in Haskell, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install haskell-derive-utils
haskell-derive-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the haskell-derive-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep haskell-derive-utils *
You will get with haskell-derive-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
